Hi,
could you please contact our support? http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA/support/home-office/contact-support/ Please also include a FSDIAG (diagnostic report - click Start - All programs - F-Secure Internet Security 2010 - create diagnostic report) and attach it to your support request.
BR,
Stephan

This is not a common problem. Without the log files it is impossible to give you an accurate answer.
Therefore I'd like to ask you to contact support. Otherwise we could only guess what the reason is and guessing does not lead to satisfying answers. Filling the support form and attaching the diagnostic report is the less time consuming way.
Thank you for understanding.
BR,
Stephan

I have just updated from F-Secure 2009 to 2010, a three-machine licence. The update worked fine on one machine, now on the second one I am getting repeated errors: F-Secure ORSP Service has a problem and must close... This happens many times during boot-up. Toshiba Portege, XP SP3, up-to-date all Microsoft updates. Advice, please, I need to repair this. Thank you

hi,
can you try using uninstallation tool to remove current f-secure products, then reinstall with the latest downloaded installer package.
ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/uitool/UninstallationTool.exe
give it a try on this and let us know how it went.

This has started to happen also for me. (since last week?) I already re-installed F-Secure 2010 today, but no help, as the error surfaced right after install. (Vista 32bit SP2)
One related symptom is that after that error message surfaces, the CPU utilization gets stuck to 50% with FSORSP process taking the CPU time. So, somehow the process contineus to run, but not correctly?
I noticed that the has been ORSP service update last week. Maybe that has once again caused something to break in FS2010. (Last time it was the Windows update functionality, which F-Secure broke down earlier this year. that seems to have been fixed...)

OK, thank you, that seems to have cured the problem. I downloaded the uninstallation program from the link you supplied and ran that. At the end the PC rebooted. I still got the ORSP error, but only once, whereas previously it was happening 8-10 times during boot-up. I checked in Control Panel->Add & Remove programs and verified that F-Secure was not listed. Rebooted the machine, no error messages that time. Clean install from FS2010.exe, shedloads of updates came long and now all seems fine. There must have been some glitch in the upgrade from the previous version. Thanks for the help in sorting it out.
